Smith Crossing Pedestrian Bridge

RSW team is proud to have played a role as Prime Fabricator on this project that enhances the long-term resiliency of the crossing and provides access to Edmonton's beautiful urban river valley. The old bridge, originally built in 1914, is commemorated at an interpretive monument at the site. The bridge consisted of 16” xs Pipe arches rolled 15 degrees of center. We fabricated the pedestrian bridge in one piece at our fabrication facility and lifted into place to reduce assembly time on site. This project again showcased our Large facility and the size of prefabricated assemblies that we can build to reduce site assembly time for our partners.
The Smith Crossing Bridge was one of our more public projects done for the City of Edmonton. Located in the Whitemud Creek Ravine on 23rd Avenue, between Rabbit Hill Road and 119th Street.
